This super easy do-it-yourself homemade vitamin E face cream is something I learned a few years back when I saw my sister do it herself. I was intrigued because first, why would you go through the hassle of DIY when you can easily buy from the store?
She said it is cheaper than buying pure vitamin E oil. Also, she does not like drinking vitamins. ME TOO! You would be surprised to know I rarely take any vitamins orally. So this whole DIY got me really interested, I tried doing this homemade vitamin E face cream myself.
DISCLAIMER: I’m not an expert. Please consult with your doctor first before trying this. What may work for me may not necessarily work for you (and vice versa).
I did it in the past for about 3 weeks or so. And here I am sharing my secret to achieve that healthy glow. Naaaks!
BUT FIRST… what is the big deal with Vitamin E anyway?
- Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that prevents premature aging. It prevents the formation of wrinkles by blocking free radical damage.
- Vitamin E also boosts collagen production to treat wrinkles and keep skin elastic.
- It treats and promotes healing of scars, stretch marks, and brown spots.
- It supports new skin cell growth and speeds up cell regeneration.
- Vitamin E is also a more affordable substitute to pricey anti-aging creams.
That is why you will normally see this ingredient in most beauty products that promises youthful, glowing skin. So much so that pure Vitamin E oil has also become a product of its own.

But a bottle of Vitamin E oil can be expensive. You can get almost the same result from buying Vitamin E capsules and they are in their purest form as well.
Okay, so now we know the benefits of Vitamin E oil, let us proceed with the DIY homemade Vitamin E face cream!
What You Need for the Homemade Vitamin E Face Cream
- Vitamin E capsules. I used Myra E d-Alpha Tocopherol Vitamin E capsules. It is around Php 360 for 30 capsules. (You can buy a bottle of Myra E 400 capsules from Lazada here).
- Pin or needle or anything sharp to poke the capsule.

How To Make the Homemade Vitamin E Face Cream
- Wash your face and hands first. Then get 1 vitamin E capsule and poke a small hole using a needle. The thick liquid which is the vitamin E oil will ooze out.
- Apply the vitamin E oil gently around your eyes, forehead, and mouth area. Dab the remaining oil on your cheeks, nose, and neck area. Yes, do not forget to give some love to your neck! It ages too, you know!
That is so easy, right? It’s probably the quickest homemade face moisturizer for aging skin you can make!
What Result Can You See?
Since vitamin E oil is very thick and sticky, it is not recommended for daytime use. This homemade Vitamin E face cream is best used as a night treatment, a maximum of two times a week. Do note that it may take some time to see results.

But for me, aside from my skin becoming softer and smoother over time, I also noticed that my pimple scars lightened too. If you ask me, I would still very much prefer taking this topical approach than digesting the capsule form.

This is really helpful! I love the way you presented its possible results once one starts using it.
Wow didn’t now we can use Vitamin capsules as facial moisturizer. I simply use Aloe gel lang kasi. Thanks for sharing this! 🙂
Such a simple and easy homemade vitamin E cream. A great idea for sure! I need to get back in the habit of washing my face before bed, lol.
I never knew we could use Vitamin E this way! This is so good to know and I have to try this out!
Actually my tita was doing that too naalala ko nung bata ako, hindi niya iniinom yung Vitamin E capsule niya,I’ll try it oo, hindi ba sya recommended to do it every night?
Oooh, I love using Vitamin E oil. It makes my skin so soft!
I’ll have to give this a try! I think making my own face cream would be amazing!
Vitamin E is a holy grail and that’s my opinion about it. I love them and gives good result to my body and health.
Vitamin E is so good for skin. I never knew y0u could make your own cream at home.
ay, ang dali lang. I’ll try this one out. I don’t like ingesting vitamin E, cause I’m not sure it’s good for me. i tried vitamin E before and I broke out/
This is something new for me, But there’s nothing to lose to try it! Vitamin C is Vitamin C. It would not harm you unless your skin is super sensitive but that is very rare situation. I wil try it in the future, who knows maybe it could make my skin glowy and healthy!
Great hack! And a lot more affordable, too, as compared to other commercial facial moisturizers.
Gusto ko itry ito baka sakaling mag lighten ang pimple marks ko. May Myra-E si mama dito kuha muna ako. Hahaha…
Wow it is that simple? This is an ingenious alternative to expensive creams that promise health benefits but don’t necessarily deliver.
I think I speak for all of us, or atleast most people, that we are in need of some more glow now during the autums 🙂
Yes, I did that too. And used it to my hair like what the hair spa is doing.. haha ginaya ko sila and you are correct, it is way cheaper than ready made lotion with vitamin E. Thanks for sharing!
this is great. i def need to try this out. vit E is so important
I am legit doing this right now. It is my first time to try this. Hopefully it will work. Thank you Hazel<3
What a creative way to do for skin care products! I actually take Vit. E, too everyday! I live by it as the brand I bought is not too expensive. 🙂 However, I’ll consider this DIY!
ang galing galing. never realized this!! easy lang eh ano.. tipid na tipid pa. naalala ko dati yung sa pimple ang nilalagay ko naman aspirin
I feel like i need to try this! I have so many pimple marks i want lightened and my face is super dry. This is more feasible that the expesnsive-asss product ls I just ordered. Why is it so hard to be pretty? Jk
Doing this might be a bit scary though as that vitamin e is not necessarily tested for the face. I also know of a couple of famous youtubers here in the PH that had bad acne after they drank the vitamin e and another one after they put it on their face. I would do this but only after a week’s worth of patch testing so I can be sure there’s no bad results hehehe
this is cool, ma try nga para ma iba naman ang pag gamit ko ng Vitamin E
This is great! I will definitely try this!! Thank you!
This is gold! Thank you, will surely try this recipe. who doesn’t want anti aging secrets!
Since I got into the habit of skincare, I never diy’ed anything for plenty of reasons. But if it works for you and you feel good about it, I’ll support you. 🙂
I’ve done this! Vitamin E is such a powerful and wonderful vitamin. It is worth the price and time of the capsules. And you are right, it’s also better than taking pills.
I’m going to give this a try! I love how its natural and it would save so much money!
High Five! Wow! Yun lang? OMG thank you for this! It’s not so easy to create a facial moisturizer so I think I wll be needing these really! I will check this out very very very soon!
Ma itry nga ito! Will include Myra-E in my to buy list… I agree that this is a cheaper alternative.
I never knew you could do this at home!! Thaanks for sharing will give it a go:)
Hehe….the things we learn on the blog are amazing….who knew that vitamin E capsules can be used as facial moisturizer?
Your homemade vitamin E face cream seems very easy to do. I need to try this at home. My skin needs some moisturizer!
