I would like to share with you my new favorite lip product – the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream given to me by Charles (super duper thanks :P). I find myself grabbing this tube more often lately. Why do I love it? Read on!
So here’s what it looks like. The tube says: It’s not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It’s like nothing you’ve experienced before. It’s lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte.
At first, you’d be like… what?? Not a lipstick nor a lip gloss?? Then what could it be? Ahhh a lip cream. Perfect!
Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa Product Review
That’s the name of this shade – Addis Ababa. A little search on Google reveals this is actually a name of a place. As well as the other shades in this collection. Cool, yeah?
It’s like a tinted lip gloss minus the sticky feeling and shiny finish.
At first I was thinking if I could pull off this shade. Judging by the tube it looks super dark pink. But as you can see, the outcome is this gorgeous bright pink. I only dabbed around 2 swipes so I can say it’s very much pigmented.
I love how soft and non sticky this lip cream is. The smell is also terrific, a hint of vanilla flavor if I’m not mistaken. But what I like most is its staying power! It lasted me for a good 4 hours, and that was with eating and drinking involved. Jackpot, right?!
Availability: I’m not sure if it’s available locally in the department store. But I was told an online store called Digital Traincase carries the whole Nyx lip cream collection (and more!).
Price: Php 350 (in Digital Traincase).
I highly recommend this! Especially to those who are not so sure if they can carry themselves well in very bright lipsticks but would still like to try and have fun pink lips. This one is quite manageable.
To end this post, here’s an image I found in Google to keep us all inspired 😉
