Imagine having a vacation home in Tagaytay! Now wouldn’t that be amazing? Tagaytay after all has become synonymous with “weekend getaways”. So having a vacation home there would be quite the dream!
Since I’m pretty much stuck at home on most days, there are times I wish I’m stuck in a beautiful vacation home in Tagaytay instead. Breathing fresh, crisp air for a change! Away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Ahhh, that’s life.
(On a side note: Actually, we did have a property in Tagaytay before but my parents eventually sold it in the early 2000s.)
I’m pretty sure my parents were super captivated by the beauty of Tagaytay that they decided to purchase a lot back then.
I mean what’s NOT to love about Tagaytay right?
There are so many compelling reasons why this has become a favorite weekend destination for most people. And why it’s also a top location for buying an investment away from the metro.
Well, stick around and continue reading this post for a round-up of 7 reasons why everyone loves this breezy city and why you should invest in a vacation home in Tagaytay!
7 Reasons Why You Should Invest in a Vacation Home in Tagaytay
The proximity of Tagaytay in Metro Manila
Tagaytay is just around 65 km from Manila which makes it an ideal road trip destination. In just around 2 hour drive, you can find yourself around the city proper.
Speaking of road trips, the future Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway will help reduce traffic volumes in Aguinaldo Highway and Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road especially peak seasons and weekends. This future expressway will also provide linkage between Metro Manila, Cavite, and Batangas.
That’s part of the beauty of living in Tagaytay — its high accessibility to nearby key cities/provinces. And that they continue to develop the area which is a good sign always!
Whether it’s just for the long weekends, holidays, or your permanent address in the South, a good location should be one of your main points to consider when investing in a property.
Tagaytay is complete with everything
Another advantage of having a home in Tagaytay is that it’s complete with all the essentials. There are shopping complexes, hospitals, schools, churches, public markets, spas and fitness centers, and more! In short, all the basic establishments are within reach.
No wonder it is the go-to destination for people who want to unwind and relax. You will never feel like you are in a remote location because of how progressive Tagaytay is.
So having a vacation home in Tagaytay is literally just like living in the metro, but with the lush greenery, cool breeze, and amazing view to boot.
Fun places and activities abound
You will never run out of things to do and places to visit in Tagaytay. As I have mentioned earlier, it is such a progressive city in the south. Therefore, it is very likely that there will be more must-visit places that will pop up throughout the years!
And the best part of having a vacation home in Tagaytay? You will no longer need to hurry up in exploring these must-visit places since you can take as much time as you need!
Perfect weather all year round
Tagaytay is considered the second summer capital of the Philippines (next to Baguio). So if you want to experience that Baguio feels but don’t want to be hassled by the long drive up north, then Tagaytay is the perfect place to be.
You can experience the cool climate, be surrounded by lush pine trees, and breathe fresh air! Many portions of Tagaytay, particularly the southern and eastern parts, are covered by hills and mountains.
It’s also elevated at about an average of 610 meters above sea level so you are guaranteed nice weather all throughout the year. In fact, the average daily temperate is around 22 degrees Celcius. Cool!
Safe community
Since the area has seen great progress due to infrastructure and other developments, the population also has increased throughout the years. This led authorities to put some action plans to maintain peace and order in their community. That is why Tagaytay is such a peaceful getaway place! Rarely will you hear any shocking news about Tagaytay.
Safety should be everyone’s top priority when looking for a place to invest in. There are many upscale communities in Tagaytay that ensure 24/7 security to keep your mind at ease. One of those exclusive neighborhoods is Crosswinds Tagaytay (more about it later in this post so keep on reading).
Flood-free vicinity
Aside from safety and security, one should also consider how prone to flooding an area is before purchasing a property there. For us living in the metro, we all know how hassle flooding could be. Just a bit of rain could lead to flood and then comes the traffic jams.
Or worse, you will always fear if the flood would get into your house and damage your properties and cars. Imagine this scenario happening over and over again — you would just want to escape it all!
Thanks to Tagaytay’s land elevation, it has kept this city mostly flood-free. They also have an effective drainage system. So it’s not a common occurrence to have serious flood events in the area.
Stress-free life
There’s a reason why most people spend their weekend away from the metro — it’s to get away from a stressful life! Who wouldn’t get stressed out with the noise, pollution, and generally the fast-paced life of city dwelling, right?
That’s why Tagaytay is the ideal location! Just less than 2 hours away from the metro and you can experience a picture-perfect city that doesn’t take you away from modern living. You get the best of both worlds — the stress-free life that’s associated with province life and at the same time, the action and drama in the city life are also just within reach!
So those are just some of the top reasons why you should invest in a vacation home in Tagaytay! If you’re thinking about relocating, living, or having a dream vacation home in Tagaytay, there are many options for you.

I agree. Why not Tagaytay ano? a place that we’ve love ever since. Naalala ko pag ano maka byahe lang to Tagaytay. Vacation feels na talaga. Kaao paran huling punta ko mainit. Di pa yata na experience ng son ko yubg super foggy tagaytay
Tagaytay is one of the best places I’ve been to at tlgang babalik balikan ko. I miss Tagaytay. I miss traveling.
For me, parang medyo overpopulated na Tagaytay especially pag holidays but I’d love to have a rest home there for when I want to unwind or have road trips with friends.
We also love going to Tagaytay! Aside from the nice weather, there are also lovely restaurants in this side of PH that we love visiting. I also dream of having a vacation house in Tagaytay, but I’m not really sure if we can afford one.
Tagaytay is a lovely place, and great for weekend escape. Maybe having a small place is okay, but not for permanent base for security and safety especially that the local volcano has been active recently.
We love Tagaytay. We frequent staycations there as a family. We enjoy the weather and the beauty of the nights. We dream of getting a unit there one day.
Real-estate is such a good investment. When I’m rich and famous, I’ll definitely buy lots of properties everywhere!! Tagaytay is always me and my friends go to place. Huhu
My ultimate dream is to have vacation home in Baguio or Tagaytay! That would be perfect lalo sa weather and sa magandang tanawin. My husband’s family used to own a house in Tagaytay but they sold it kase walang gumagamit.
If I have the money, I would definitely invest in property here in Tagaytay. This is a place loved by all. Even us from the north would come. long way just to experience chillin and literally chillin in Tagaytay. Crosswinds on the other hand is a great place to stay. Reminds me of the little priince village sa Sokor.
True naman lahat ng sinabi mo. BUT… as much as we want to… sobraaaang mahal talaga ng properties even in the outskirts of the city.
Although the price might be a little expensive, I feel like it’s more than worth it, especially with all the points that were mentioned here! Dream ko talaga to have my own property at Alpine Villas hehe I visit Crosswinds at least once a month with my chilrdren and they love it too!
Very interesting post. Makes me want to invest. Hopefully in the future =)
